Hola
Familia,
So these last few days have been EXTREMELY LONG!!!! Holy cow. But they have been so long since Friday. The whole week was going well, we were cruizing along and we all knew that changes were coming this weekend but it didn´t really feel like it this time so it was like everything was normal. But Friday came and went but in the night at almost 11:30, one of the assistants called and asked to talk with me. I was like ¨what? with me?¨ So I got the phone from my companion and he told me that I would be TRAINING this coming change! So, I´m nervous but at the same time there is a part of me that tells me that it is all going to work out. I just am going to have to buckle down and put my nose to the grind stone, as Dad always says. (We´ll as he always told me when he was telling me off about my grades in Chemistry =)
But that made me think about it all day Saturday and really that wasn´t too long ago from right now but it made time slow waaaay down. And Saturday finally passed and we were on our way back to the house at like 9:45 and we get another call from the assistants. (let me back up, earlier in the day we had recieved all the changes for the zone and I found out that I would be going to another district in the same zone like 5 minutes down the road and I´m going to be the district leader) But the assistants called and told me that because I was opening up the new sector and the missionaries (I knew them from this last change and they were doing great work and had many great investigators) that I was going to go over there Sunday (a day early) to go and meet the ward and meet all the investigators so that the change wouldn´t be so drastic. But they told me that they would be there in like a half hour to pick me up so start packin! So we rushed home and I started packing like crazy. The same thing happened to my companion Elder Chung too so he was packing frantically too but the worst part was that we didn´t get to say good bye to our investigators or the ward like we were expecting to. The good thing for me though is that I´ll be able to go back to Renca 2 on exchanges with Elder Salzl and I can see some of the people again so it won´t be so bad.
So I went over there to Cerro Colorado (the name of my new sector) and it was great. There weren´t many members there yesterday because it was raining and they are wimps in the rain but those who were there were awesome! They were very inviting and everyone was smiling and laughing and it was just a great church. I met lots of the investigators there too and they are awesome! There are a bunch that are just having problems with getting married (they have to get a divorce from a previous marriage first) and then they are going to be baptized so I´m excited. It should be a great change there. I feel like it is going to fly by this next change.
But right now I´m with Elder Salzl and his new companion (Elder Salzl is going to be in a trio again and will also be training another Elder) and we are at a mall writing you guys. We´re really just waiting for our changes tomorrow. Normally the changes happen on Monday but if you train, the new missionaries don´t get here until Tuesday and so we really just have to wait until tomorrow. I have no idea if it will be a gringo or a latino, both would be good I guess. I don´t have a preference really. But I´m nervous and at the same time excited. I know you always pray for me so thank you but throw me in there a little extra this week please=)
Love you!
