Hola Again

Date: December 12, 2011 Area: Santiago, Chile Companion: Elder Lopez

Hey family!

So this was a pretty good week! There are always ups and down and I love it when there are more ups than downs =)

I¨m listening to grandmas voice message right now. Thats GREAT about Kendra and shes doing so well in soccer! Congratulations to Mal for getting accepted to PA school! Thats awesome!!! And Shawna is going to have another baby!! Congratulations!! Thanks for the recording grandma, Love ya.

Mom, I got your talk that you gave in church about Christmas and I absolutely loved it! Such a great message to truly have the spirit of christmas and to give more gifts than presents! Love it! And thanks for the letters from the cousins and friends that are serving misssions, its great to hear from them!

I opened the package with the decorations and the stuff for Christopher! THE TREE IS AWESOME!!!! I think that will have to be my favorite Christmas gift because I don´t know how you can get better than that. I saw all the decorations for the tree and at first saw all the notes and thought that they were scriptures and was like ¨woah, thats a cool idea, I love it!¨ but then I started reading them and they were from all my friends!!! IT WAS AWESOME!! THANK YOU MOM! youre the BEST!!!!

It sure looks like you were having a good time there in Utah with Lindy! Its such a blessing that you have that class lindy, I¨m so glad that you can get lost in your work with those kids and that you smile so much that your cheeks hurt sometimes!!! =)=)=)

As for SKYPE in a couple weeks, I have to be done by 5 my time and can only talk for 40 minutes which means that we should probably start it at least an hour before so at 4 my time at the latest. I´ll have to talk to Christopher and you can text him too to see how it will best work out.

For Christmas, as a mission, we will have a big party at the mission home. They are doing it the 22 and 23. Half of the mission goes on each day and we´ll be christmas caroling and have a christmas program there too! Its going to be awesome! And then the 24th and 25 are going to be great! We can sleep in til 9!!!! thats awesome! =) And then we are going to be able to basically spend the day with the members that we want so I´m excited!

But for me and the week, it was pretty good! There was one day that wasn´t so great because we were walking literally ALL day. We had 1 cita no mas. So that wasn´t so good but the one appointment that we had was a really good one! It was with Nicole, the 12 yaer old that is going to be baptized the 25th. We taught her with Christopher and Joselyne (his wifE) and it was great. We talked about the baptismal scripture in Mosiah (I forgot the chapter and verse) That talks about mourning with those that mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort. But while we were teaching I felt such a big love for her. I´ve known here longer and probably better than anyone that is part of the church and her life at home is really messed up with parents that are terrible examples and I just want her to be ok. I feel like I am leaving in 3 weeks, the next change, and I just want her to be ok. I felt towards her like I feel towards Cutler, like she is my little sister and I want her to make all the right decisions and that nothing bad will happen to her! I´m so proud of her and her decision to be baptized. But in that lesson I just felt so much love for her! It is going to be hard to say goodbye to her and this area.

But everyday that I¨m down here serving the Lord, I realize more and more how lucky that I am to have been blessed with the family and friends that I have. You guys rock! My love for you grows everyday and I just want you to know that I love you. And thinking about how I feel towards you, I cant even imagine how much our Savior loves each and every one of us or how much Heavenly Father loves each of his children. I love the scriptures in Alma 7 v. 11 to 13. The savior suffered for each of us individually so that he would know exactly how we feel in every moment. He is the only one that can ever truly understand us and he did it all out of love. I hope that we can all remember that sacrifice this Christmas season and have that love for others in this season. I love you!
