Familia,
This week was a
whole lot more calm than the week before.
But as for me and
my week it was a good week. We are being really blessed with teaching in our
sector. For the last 3 weeks we have taught more than 20 each week which is
quite a bit. It means that we are busy! But the highlight of the week was
without a doubt the 2 baptisms we had this weekend! Paola and Blanca were
baptized! The picture with the older lady and the daughter is Paola and the one
with all the people in it is Blanca. They are both so great and special in their
own ways and have had so many experiences to tell them that this is the true
church. It is amazing the changes that we are able to see in them as they bring
their lives into harmony with the life and example of Jesus Christ. It has been
a blessing to see them learn and grow and most importantly, change. This gospel
is about change and the atonement of Jesus Christ is what makes that change
possible and lasting. I am so greatful for his sacrifice for every one of us so
that these changes are possible.
But something
that I have been learning and I like a lot the concept is about the Holy Ghost.
Because for me, his influence doesn´t come with words or some voice in my head
that I hear and it is hard to recognize or distinguish his influence from
everything else or from what could possibly be my thoughts. But something that I
have been learning is that we shouldn´t worry so much about that. It is an
influence that takes effect when we choose to follow Christ and choose the
right. And what I have studied and am realizing is that as long as we try to do
the right and we strive to be better everyday then that influence will
automatically be present in us. It will guide us without us really even knowing
or realizing it. And in the moment, it might not seem like anything special or
significant what is going on but often times we can look back on an experience
after it has happened and see without doubt that the spirit was present, that it
did guide us and it is there in the lives of every one of us who live worthy of
it. I feel the Lord´s hand is in each of our lives more than we all
realize.
But thanks for
all the love and support that you guys give me! You really are the best. I love
you all and hope you have a great week,
