Hola
Familia,
So i´m going to
apologize before hand for any typos in the letter because the intrnet cafe where
we are right now is terrible and the keyboard sticks on almost every key which
makes it a bit difficult to type. But anyway, i´m doing well and is sure sounds
like all of you are doing well too.
Spencer- I got your
letters!!! THANKS! I loved the story about Zambia, it sounds like you had a
great experience in Bwfwano! I lovd zambia so much and I love reliving the
experience of it too. I want to go back so bad some day! Congrats on going to
the temple! It is a special place and the spirit there is so peaceful, I love it
too. Just wait til you can go THROUGH the temple=) and I´m stoked for you for
your patriarcal blessing! Youll have to tell me about it next week!
Lindy- Congrats on
your calling to be the relief society teacher! Thats awesome! You are goin gto
learn so much! it will be a great calling for you. But my advice about teaching
by the spirit is first to just learn everything you can about the lesson. I
never really understood (well its pretty clear but I never realized how true it
was) What it says in D&C 84:85 to first seek to obtain the word before you
declare it and then if you wish to declare it then it will be given you what you
should say in the very hour that you need it. (There is anotherone that is
similar in section 100 (I think) that says in the very moment that you need it
which is even better=) But I´m glad that you are enjoying your class and i´m
excited for the voice recording. And I am so glad that you are finally healing
from everything and moving on from the past. That is FANTASTIC!!!! But get your
temple recommend renued and make it a goal to go once a week.
It is such a blessing
to be able to go and to have such great access to the temples but too often we
take them for granted and dont take advantage of the blessings the Lord offers
us to be able to go to his house. I am going to try to go once a week when I get
back because it scares me to see how many people go for the first time but then
they stop going and they fall away from the church. I´m not going to be like
that.
But the exciting news
for the week was that this last week was the week of transfers.. and WE STAY!
i´m really excited about that though! It was like a 50 50 that this would
happen. I asked President Essig in my interview a few weeks ago what he thought
would happen with the changes. I told him that I would like to stay with E
Barnes cause we get along so well and are working well together too. He said
that he would pray about it but he might have me train again. So I was really
happy when we got the call and found out that we would be staying together! We
are on the third change together now! Thats crazy. Time is flying.
But as for the week
it was kind of slow. We had long lists of people to visit and we were diligent
in the work but NOBODY was home! It made it kind of tough the last couple days
but its all good, we have good spirits and are excited to be here and working. I
know this week will be better.
Olga, the Dominicana
(I´m not sure if I told you about her. ) But she was going to get baptized this
last Sunday but couldn´t for health reasons so this next week she is going to be
baptized. I´m excited for her. She is really funny though, she doesnt want many
people to go to the baptism and we visited her last night and she asked us,
¨can I get baptized late at night so that nobody comes to the baptism?¨ Haha. We
told her no but that if she doesn´t want many people then we won´t invite
everyone=) She is great.
Blanca and Paola are
doing great! Blanca came to stake conference yesterday which was a great
experience for her, it was a pretty good conference. But all in all I am doing
well and everything is going great. The weather is changing and spring is
here... finally! I just hope it stays a long time so that the summer isnt so
long. I´m a SD WIMP as far as weather goes.
Thanks for everythnig
and for all the love and support! I pray for you guys everyday and it sure seems
like everyone is receiving great blessings there which makes me happy. Everyone
sounds so spiritual in their letters- I like it=) But anyway, I hope you all
have a great week! Pray for us here, this week is usually one of the harder
weeks because of the Independence Day which is on tuesday. They have holiday on
monday and wednesday next week which means that most of the world is going to be
drunk from the time they get off work Friday until they go back with a real bad
head ache on Thursday=) It should be fun! Haha. Love ya,
Elder Jaromy
