Area: Santiago, Chile
Companion: Elder Peterson
Hola
Familia,
Happy Easter! The
Easter bunny found me this week with a great package! Thanks, Mom!! You're the
best! Elder Peterson and I have been really happy this week with all our snack
options =)
There wasn't anything really big or crazy that happened this week, just normal, trying to find new people to teach. We did have quite a bit of success in finding though, we found 11 new people to teach which we were excited about. One of those people is really interesting though. His name is Carlos Shultz. He came up and talked to us in the street one night and told us that he has a problem. He really likes the computer and a while back found a lady from Columbus Ohio that he started talking to. They started talking more and more frequently and he is crazy about her. She is a member of the church there in Ohio and wants him to join, so he found us to talk to us. That night we went to the church with him to talk with the bishop and the bishop (he's great!!) was like 'welcome, we are here to help but don't do this for her, do it for you.' and so Carlos from there was like, yeah, I'm not going to do it for her but for me. So he ended up coming to church yesterday and he said that he really liked it. This ward is awesome and everyone is friends and they are all VERY friendly so he felt good there which was what we want. He said that he liked it and wants to go back again and again and again so we are excited about that. We are just going to have to make sure that he joins for the right reasons, because he knows the church is true, not because he loves that lady.
So this week was a
great one, it was shorter because I was practically just emailing you guys on
Wednesday but it was great. I love having Elder Peterson as a companion, hes fun
but he also works hard so I'm really enjoying the time we have here.

But other than that,
there really isn't too much to report. We did have to break out the coats for
the first time this year. The weather here in Santiago is strange, one day we're
baking in the oven and then the next someone's thrown us in the freezer. But hey,
that's part of life. We aren't getting lost so much in the sector anymore which
is great for us haha. But I'm excited about my time here. I just met the ward
yesterday and I'm really happy to be here. It is a great ward filled with great
people and I'm going to love my time here, no doubt.
But thanks for
everything, for all the support and love. Happy late Easter, I love you,
