Elder Deming

Hey Family,

This week was an OK week. The highlight was definitely getting my new companion. It was really funny actually how things worked out. I remember Lindy emailing me in december saying that she had met an elder in the mtc that was coming to my mission and she was really excited and she told me that I could possibly train him. I was like, no, no there really isn`t any possiblity. There are only 3 missionaries that are coming and so I really don`t think that I am going to be training that change. Well, last sunday President Essig called me and said that I was training which came as a really big surprise and I remembered what Lindy had told me. We`ll you`ve probably already guessed by now but sure enough the Elder that Lindy met in the MTC is Elder Deming, my new companion!!! Haha. Its interesting how things work sometimes.

But he is from New York, (upstate) and is a great companion. He is getting used to things here, the first few weeks are a bit of an adjustment but he is going to do great. He is a singer. He was in a choir in BYU that traveled to England and everything- he sings really really well. He has a huge corazon, he is a great companion. I am excited to be here with him. I don`t have a picture to send this week cause Elder Perez went to a different cyber and he has his camera with the pictures, but next week I`ll send one off for sure.

One thing that was sweet about the week was that Maria is doing well. We usually have to remind her several times about church and a member goes to look for her to go to church together so that she will go but this week was different. Couldn`t remind her because we lost contact with her for a few days before sunday but she went alone to look for the MEMBER to go to church! It was so awesome! So I was excited about that because it shows lots of progress in her.

But we are doing well here. Looking for new investigators that will progress, but good on the animo so its all good. Please pray for us this week so that we can find prepared people, I know that it will help.

This coming week we are going to do a tour of the Temple which will be awesome! We are really excited about it and it doesn`t happen very often that we can do it so it will be a great opportunity for the investigators to see the temple and learn about the church.

Spencer, I was really happy with your letter!" Thats awesome that you were able to go out with the missionaries, the members make a huge difference so great job for supporting the missionaries. Remember that, to work with the members on your mission. I`m excited to know where you go. And congrats on your calling! thats sweet!

Lindy and Mom, I`m glad that you all enjoyed your trip to Vegas and that you were able to enjoy the family. We really do have a great family=) we are so lucky. There is nothing better than the family.

Mom as for your questions, I`m fine waiting for the homcoming talk so that the whole family is there, it would be really fun!
