Temple Trip

Hey Fam,

Things are going well here for us. It was a good week this week, we had Zone Leader Council which was kind of fun. Basically we had to get up in front of all the Zone Leaders in the mission and talk about the mission, how we are with baptisms and all that. Then each Zone Leader was able to talk about his sector and the month that we had and then Elder Berrios and I talked again about the goal that we have as a mission for the month of April. Basically the Zone Leaders fix the goal but they ALWAYS fix it WAY too high and so we had a little chat about how to set goals that are realistic haha. Later we had to teach them a lesson where we teach a principle, we demonstrate, they practice, evaluate and repractice. its called and EDPER and it was actually pretty good, I felt good about it. We are going to start taking a more hands on approach with the mission to help them achieve more.

Something exciting was that on Wednesday night we had to run up to the hospital because an Elder`s appendix burst and he had to have surgery. So we ran up there to be with his companion at about 8:00. At 10:00 at night we get a call from a sister missionary saying that they were on their way up to the hospital too because one of the sisters could not move her knee (she has been having some knee problems recently) and so she got there at about 10:30. So we waited for the Elder to get out of surgery and left his companion with him at about 12:30 at night and then we waited for the sisters to get out of their exams at and we ended up leaving the hospital at about 1:15 and we headed home. So that was our fun night on Wednesday and then on Thursday we had to wake up for the Consejo de Lìderes=) it was fun.

But we have had to make several runs back up to the hospital these last few days to be able to be with the Elders and to drop off some books and DVDs to them so that they don`t go crazy sitting there doing nothing.

Friday this week was great, we took our annual trip to the temple!!! It was great, I love going to the temple and the people here in Santiago are so blessed to have a temple so close to home but the great majority of them don`t take advantage of the blessing that it is to have it so close and they don`t go very often. I am going to go once a week after the mission. We are very blessed in the States to have so many temples so close! It truly is the house of God and the place where we can be instructed and learn.

We have been pretty busy recently with the Zone Conferences that are this week and next week. Basically this week and the next are going to fly by and then there is one more week and the change will end. After that I am going to be on my last change! How crazy. Time flies.
