Elder HOLLAND!

Date: March 18, 2013
Area: Santiago, Chile
Companion: Elder Perez

Hola Familia,

Wow, it was a crazy week but it was really good at the same time. But first off, congratulations to ELDER HOLLAND! Wow, now we are two! Thats crazy. I never thought that you would be a missionary haha and now you are! Congratulations, I`m very happy for you. In all the pictures you all look like you are doing great.

But just so you know, I haven`t had time to read all of your letters. I printed them off and am going to read them later. Its going to be short today because we don`t have much time. We asked special permission from President Essig to travel to Los Andes today and he actually gave us permission (I was really surprised) and so we woke up early and caught the bus that took us up here to Los Andes. It takes like an hour 20 min in bus to get here and we only have a few hours to walk around, climb amountain and what not. Its going to be fun!

But this week was a good week. Like I said it was fast and crazy, but good. We arebeing veryblessed by the Lord in this moment. Elder Perez got sick on tuesday in the afternoon and so we went in early to the house. then on wednesday he had to go to the doctor but the only available time was at 6 in the afternoon and so we left the sector to get to the doctor at 4 and didn`t get home until 830 so be basically lost that day. And then Thursday we had to move houses all day. We moved because the robbers tried to get into thehouseagain and Presidente said enough, I want you out. So we are currently living with the Elders from the sector adjacent to ours and itis very far away from our sector. We have to walk 40 minutes to get to our sector so generally we decide to just take a taxi. Good thing I am only going to have to do that for a week=) We have transfers and I know that si o si I am leaving. President told me that but I just don`t know where to.

This week Patricio and Alexander were confirmed but Natalie didn`t get baptized. She is slowly changing but seeing her husband`s confirmation really helped her make the decision and in a lesson that Elder Perez had with her yesterday (I wasn`t there, I was on exchanges) she said that she is going to be baptized next Sunday even if it kills her =) so Patricio is goin to baptize her, how cool is that?

Anyway, life is going great. There Isn`t much more time. I only have 2 changes left but we are working hard and seeing miracles here in Principal. I love the mission, the church and the Lord. This is His work and I am a part ofit and very soon, Spencer will be a part of it too. We are his soldiers!
love you all,

Elder Holland
